Inspired by the manga and animated series Attack on Titan. Painted with acrylic ink and gouache.
Prometheus: the Titan that stole fire for human kind, and was eternally punished for his deception.
A symbol of human perseverance that unfortunately ends in torment and tragedy, paralleling the story of Reiner Braun who perseveres for what he deemed the greater good, only to bear the guilt of his course for the rest of his life.
The painting depicts Reiner transforming into the Armored Titan, but not in the way you have known of. Being grasped by the Titan, his transformation is imposed upon him rather than being a fate he willingly chose. His bestowed power becomes a curse that resulted in the blood of innocence - which pooled into the sea of guilt that consumed Reiner. Mirroring my perception of Greek Mythology - sexy, epic and tragic - I aim to deliver the same sense of drama into my depiction of Reiner. Adopt your very own Titan Reiner poster just for the aesthetics, or to appreciate his happy trail that you can happily trail along - all very valid reasons on why this print is the PERFECT addition for your Reiner shrine.
Sexy, dramatic and tragic is how I would describe my work. Most paintings are done with gouache and are fanarts of Golden Kamuy and Attack on Titan. I hope you enjoy your browsing.
